One step forward…

One step back….

I will first have to say that during the time we spent taking care of mom, we learned that you just don’t always get to take steps forward. And that’s ok. 

Sunday night about 7 pm. I was at home. Megs was at a committee meeting. I was getting up for bed and felt a sharp, stabbing pain in my left lower back. I called Megan and asked her to come get me and take me to the ER. After some testing and a couple CT scans, we found out that I have blood clots in my lungs. The admitted me immediately. 

Often times, a surgery like I had has potential to end up with clots due to inactivity and well as other  factors. I have been in the hospital since Sunday. They are trying, be they haven’t been quite about to get the pain under control. 

Today was promising, I was able to get some rest. 

I’m praying that tonight goes well. We have a plan in place. And we will see what the drs say tomorrow as well. 

Not going to lie, this one kinda knocked me down a notch or two. I’ve been trying to be, pretty upbeat until now. It definitely took the wind out of my sails for a minute.
