Well. I have civilian clothes on.

Just waiting on some take home meds and we get to bust outta this joint.

The Roger Maris Cancer Center has been so accommodating, kind, helpful and the staff is great at their jobs.

We can’t thank them enough.

It’s odd how life will teach you hind site.

When dad was a live, he used to LOVE Roger Maris.

Reading books about him, knowing stats of him, etc.

well fast forward many years, and in part because of Roger Maris, I was able to have the surgery I needed to save my life. Who would have known?

Thank you to all the kind prayers, and words of encouragement I have received along this process. They have reminded me that God loves me when I needed that reminder the most.

The next chapter should only be 3-5 hours long.

Which is oddly the same length of time they gave me for the surgery. But these 3-5 hours will be spent on the drive home. I will try to make sure that I update you all letting you know when we are at we are home and safe with our puppers.

Speaking of, that you Matt for truly showing off your heart for service by being willing and available to put your life on hold and spend a full week living at our home taking great care of our fur babies.

They mean the world to us. To be trusted with them means that you are a very important and trustworthy person in our lives. We don’t take those pups lightly.

Love ya, brother

Alright. Well we wait. We (Megan) will be driving so we make it home safe. That’s all the plans I have for the future at this point and I’m ok with that.

Life goes fast. Slow it down. Take it in. Pray.  Press on.

Dave
