Things are going well today. As long as everything continues as it has we are looking at heading home tomorrow. Dave got an upgrade to his menu options and was excited for mashed potatoes and gravy.

We got schooled on the feeding tube and administering medications through it and feel more comfortable. Due to past life activities we have a special skill set when it comes to getting chemicals in our system at all costs, so we should be ok there. 😉

Dave’s manhandling the walker like a champ and ready to challenge his neighbor to a race.

All bodily functions that need to occur on their own seem to be up and running again, so we are also making progress there.

We’ve had excellent nurses, aides, speech therapists, dietitians and of course Dr. Terrell and his staff.

Thank you to all our friends and family who’ve sent love, prayers and well wishes. Also our close friends in Bismarck who are helping with Hazard and Hazel while we are away. A group of Hope Manor alumni (who are so much more than that, they are friends and family) pitched in to get a hotel room so I’ve had a place to shower, nap,and decompress. Our friends and family have gone above and beyond and we couldn’t be more grateful and humbled by everyone’s love and thoughtfulness. We are blessed beyond measure and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts ♥️
