#12 - Feb. 15th, 2024

Me again :) 

The pain pump was removed yesterday. We may have jumped the gun a little on that as Dave had a pretty painful night. They did knock him out with some sleeping meds at one point and he snored for a little bit which was pretty comforting ☺️. Swallowing has been a bit more difficult likely because of the pain. He worked with the speech pathologist a little and he gave him a few exercises to help strengthen the area at the back of the tongue which is were the primary mass was. We are still in ICU but only because we are waiting for a bed to open up. Originally we thought maybe we’d go home tomorrow. I doubt that will be the case. I’ve kinda stopped trying to work out a timeline.
