#43 - Mar. 24, 2024

Today is a lazy day. 

Hey guys, 

Yesterday was a really good day. I was able to go into work and be helpful for a couple hours in the morning. I got to have lunch with my niece, Sydney. 

Which was great to see her and spend some time with her. Then, I got to cook and have an “in house” date with my wonderful wife. I cooked scallops, crab cakes, asparagus and baby potatoes. It felt so good to feel a little normal. After dinner, we got to open a “Date Night” box. Megan ordered a couple of them a while back but we never got to open them due to everything involved with the cancer. 

This box was a 90s themed and came with the fixings for a cake batter dip and some cookie crackers. We made the dip while listening to 90s music. Then there were some 90s themed conversation starters, a list of future goals/plans. A timed game for quick thinking. 

It was a lot of fun. It sparked conversations about both of us in the 90s. 

It was wonderful to feel like we got to reconnect after such a long time of stress. 

Well, today is going to be a fairly lazy day. 

I better get going, I’m late for my nap!! 😉
